Your word, My heart

Dear God,

I'll hide Your Word within my heart
To call upon each day
To calm me when the trials appear,
Or trouble comes my way.

I'll remember how You promised me
That all things work for good
I'll be steadfast in my prayers
And have faith, the way I should.

My very life is in Your hands,
My heart is Yours to mould
Each part of me belongs to You,

God is our refuge and strength, a very present

Do we ever stop to pray?
Is it all toil and hurry,
And is our time filled with worry?

We neglect the principal need
When on our knees we forget to plead!
Our needs go beyond the daily grind-
What's the use if peace we never find?

We need the quiet place
Where we may avail ourselves of God's amazing
grace.
Amidst the toil and rush-be still and know-
That in adversity we may grow.

Trouble is our servant to cause us gain-
Not just instruments to cause us pain.
God, the Controller and Sovereign Ruler of all
Numbers the hair on our heads and notes the
sparrow's fall.

Let us not forget the quiet place-
Where we avail ourselves of His grace.
In His presence we must come apart
To be still and know with a quiet heart.

So amidst your daily toil, in the secret place of
your being,
Don't be content with doing and seeing,
Commune with Him in quiet repose-
Confidently resting in Him who sees and knows.

It is for the encouragement of all Christians to
reach the lost before it is too late!

WE NEED TO FISH SOME MORE

We complain of life being hard and getting us down,
We need to fish some more, and get rid of that frown.
We are bombarded daily with all the bad news life can afford,
We need to fish some more and keep our eyes
focused on the Lord.

I'm not talking about fish in a pond, or a lake or a stream,
But fish of human kind, ones whose souls, God wants to redeem.
The waters are brimming over with these kind and
some are easy to catch,
Others are like that, "Big ole catfish that got
away", and becomes impossible to fetch!

But don't let that one stop you from fishing for another,
Because there are plenty of fish out there and
with patience you'll discover,
That if you put your faith in God and let Him lead
you to the right spot,
You can cast out your net and when you pull it in,
it will be filled to the top!

It's not a matter of loving to fish or having a
special calling,
It's looking deep in that watery abyss, and
claiming drowning souls from falling.
We all need to fish some more, if we want to please God,
He gave us this work to do , even if fishing for souls seems odd.

With fishing comes happiness, not because we
caught that, "big one that almost got away",
But because we cared enough to catch those little
ones, who would have gone astray.

"My Lord, is this your will?"

and I think I'd like a mate.

   fresh new promise He delivers as we take in His love unspurned

The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you,

EVERYTHING

As I awoke to the beginning of a brand new day,
It seemed like waves of trials kept coming my way.
Problem after problem was all I could see,
I cried out, "Lord, what is it you want from me?"

The answer that came from the One Most High,
Was nothing but a very simple reply,
It was one unexpected, but yet rang so true,
It's something He desires from me and from you.

He said, "EVERYTHING"

I want you to know Me as your Saviour and Guide,
The One who will always be right there at your side.
I want you to serve Me through the good times and bad,
To sing praises to My Name whether you're happy or sad.

I want your faith to grow stronger as each day goes by,
To trust Me when there's no answers to your
questions of "Why?"
To learn of My love and to feel My embrace,
When you're called to endure the hardships you face.

I want no one or nothing to take My place in your heart,
In whatever you should do, I want to take part.
Stand on My promises, let nothing cause you doubt,
In the end you will see that all things will work out.

So you see, My dear child, I want to be your all in all,
To depend on My presence when you stand or when you fall,
When you question just what is it that I want from thee?
My answer is EVERYTHING, as you are EVERYTHING to Me.

You see that's what my Holy Bible is all about.

... remembering that, though my way is dark as

consequences knowing God will turn the ultimate
effect to good

... the conviction the Promiser keeps His promises.

The Silversmith

A few ladies met to study the Scriptures. While
reading the third chapter of Malachi, they came
upon a remarkable expression in the third verse:
"And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver (Malachi 3:3)"
One lady decided to visit a silversmith, and
report to the others on what he said about the
subject. She went accordingly, and without telling
him the reason for her visit, begged the
silversmith to tell her about the process of refining silver.
After he had fully described it to her, she asked,
"Sir, do you sit while the work of refining is going on?"
"Oh, yes ma'am," replied the silversmith; "I must
sit and watch the furnace constantly, for, if the
time necessary for refining is exceeded in the
slightest degree, the silver will be injured."
The lady at once saw the beauty and comfort of the
expression, "He shall sit as a refiner and
purifier of silver." God sees it necessary to put
His children into the furnace; but His eye is
steadily intent on the work of purifying, and His
wisdom and love are both engaged in the best
manner for us. Our trials do not come at random,
and He will not let us be tested beyond what we can endure.
Before she left, the lady asked one final
question, "How do you know when the process is complete?"
"That's quite simple," replied the silversmith.
"When I can see my own image in the silver, the
refining process is finished."

We come to a closed door

HOW COULD ANYONE DOUBT GOD CARES

I look at the moon, what do I see
I see Gods love reflected at me.
Each little star, twinkles to his decree
Father, how could anyone doubt Thee?

I look at the sun shining today
And I know God always makes a way.
I watch the children happy at play
This is the reason I say.

How could anyone doubt God cares
He still listens to our prayers.
He has not left us alone to despair
He still provides what we eat and wear.

I see the birds soaring in flight
God teaches them how to do it just right.
The mountains and streams, a lovely sight
Also the snow, when it's pure and white.

It's true, that sorrows sometimes creep
And take away joys we try to keep.
It's only for awhile that we weep
For Christ still cares for His sheep

Although He allows storms to rage
They'll soon pass into another age.
It's only today we need to engage

Blessing's

Every good and perfect gift
Comes down from the Father of Lights.
As we are given a blessing,
So should we give into one another's life.

The flow of a true blessing
Frees us to serve God in all of our ways.
We return to God a blessing through others,
That God would receive adoration and praise.

God's blessings are not meant
To be wasted in our own selfish plans.
This quenches a blessing from God,
As it evaporates out of your hand.

What some call blessings
Can end up not being blessings at all.
For a blessing cannot be a blessing,
If it causes you to stumble and fall.

God does not give a blessing
Just so we may have a surplus.
A blessing from the Master's Hand
Is sent to fulfil His purpose.

God disperses His blessings
That they may continue as a river flows.
In the gift He has blessed you with,
Bless others that it might grow.

These good and perfect gifts called blessings,
Must fulfil what God has planned.
For a true blessing must continue to bless,
As it is released out of yours to another's hand.

A blessing from God is a good and perfect gift
because God is Good and Perfect. But just as God
gives every good and perfect gift it in some way,
shape or form should give Glory back to (God) the
One who gave it. If God blesses you on one end,
that should free you up on the other end to do his
will because God's blessing's also brings along
with it freedom in Him. Some have been known to
use God's blessings for personal gain which in
this case causes them to stumble and fall, but the
problem is not in the gift, the problem is in the
heart of the one who receives it and it is these
that stop the flow of God's blessings because they
are not giving God glory by allowing it to continue to bless.

If a river stops flowing it will soon become
stagnant but as long as it keeps flowing there is life.

He's Done So Much For Me


The Lord has done so much for me,
and He started it upon a tree,

Where Christ Jesus was crucified,
when for all of our sins He died.

But from the grave He rose again,
and became Hope for all men.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ,
is the hope of all for Eternal Life.

He appeared to men as God's proof,
validating The Word of Truth.

And The Truth has set me free,
from Christ's work upon that tree.


He sent The Spirit upon the earth,
to guide all men to a new birth.

Through The Spirit He teaches us,
Eternal Truths men can trust.

He guides me every day my friend,
with His promise for the end,

A promised home prepared for me,
to dwell with Him for Eternity.

Christ is always by my side,
supplying a peace that's not denied.

Christ's sent Eternal Peace,
sealed by The Spirit, shall not cease.


Christ ascended to His Authority,
His Throne above for all Eternity,

There Christ intervenes for those,
who believed and know He rose.

When He ascended to His Throne,
Christ left me not here all alone,

He sent The Spirit into my heart,
who then gave my life a new start.

To me The Holy Spirit He did impart,
who now lives within my heart.

He goes with me along the way,
to guide and protect me every day.


Friend it was for me that Jesus Christ,
became an atoning sacrifice.

He was a bloody sacrifice of Love,
pleasing to His Father up above.

Christ was mocked and crowned,
and he was buried in the ground.

Where all my sins were buried too,
no longer in The Father's view.

Christ lived and died on my behalf,
so that I would not suffer wrath.

Instead it will be life ahead for me,
as I reign with Christ for eternity.



He bestows upon me His Power,
through each day and every hour.

In my weakness His Power flows,
as His Strength within me grows.

His Strength He always gives to me,
whether in riches or in poverty.

For all my riches are in Jesus Christ,
not in this temporal fleeting life.

Eternal Riches are found in Him,
Christ who saved me from my sin.

Christ alone is my Eternal Reward,
thus I end with Thank You Lord.

Obedience Can Be A Hard Road

Life may be simple or complicated
for His way is not our way,
it's not our place to question why
but simply to trust and then obey.

The job you've been given may be boring,
and there seems no relief at end of day,
little recognition and small reward,
still we once more trust and then obey.

You have pledged your life to Jesus,
then heed His call without delay,
do not complain of your assignment,
but in good cheer trust and then obey.

Never compromise the Word of God
or lukewarm faith to friends convey,
He will furnish the light and strength
for servants who will trust and then obey.

Children often rebel under discipline
but without His guidance we may stray,
learn to joy in His chastisements
and in gratitude trust and then obey.

With our understanding we ask why,
we stay where sin taints all we survey,
then soldier call to mind the price He paid
and humbly trust and then obey.

Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realised that this
is the best day of my life, ever!

There were times when I wondered if I would make
it to today; but I did!
And because I did I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable
life I have had so far:
the accomplishments,
the many blessings,
and, yes, even the hardships
because they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my head held high,
and a happy heart.
I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts:
the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees,
the flowers, the birds.
Today, none of these miraculous creations will
escape my notice.

Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people.
I'll make someone smile.
I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act
of kindness for someone I don't even know.

Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down.
I'll tell a child how special he is,
and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I
care for them and how much they mean to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have
and start being grateful for all the wonderful
things God has already given me.
I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of
time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan
ensures everything will be just fine.

Tonight, before I go to bed,
I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens.

I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon,
and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow,
I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life.

And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child,
excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be
......

ADVENT VIRUS

Be on the alert for symptoms of inner HOPE, PEACE,
JOY AND LOVE.
The hearts of a great many have already been
exposed to this virus and it is possible that
people everywhere could come down with it in
epidemic proportions.
This could pose a serious threat to what has, up
to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict
in the world.
Some signs and symptoms of THE ADVENT VIRUS:
A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather
than on fears based on past experiences.
An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
A loss of interest in judging other people.
A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of
others.
A loss of interest in conflict.
A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very
serious symptom.)
Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
Contented feelings of connectedness with others
and nature.
Frequent attacks of smiling.
An increasing tendency to let things happen rather
than make them happen.
An increased susceptibility to the love extended
by others
as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.
Please send this warning out to all your friends.

This virus can and has affected many systems.
Some systems have been completely cleaned out
because of it.

Glory to God in the High Street,
The Season is with us again.
The people have come in their thousands,
In spite of the wind and the rain.

They're all busy shopping for Christmas,
Spending their cash without fear.
Nobody worries at Christmas,
It's the happiest time of the year.

Glory to God in the High Street,
So many people around,
All buying presents and turkeys
And anything else to be found.

Everywhere people are smiling,
Greeting each other with waves,
Everyone's happy at Christmas,
Hardly a child misbehaves.

Glory to God in the High Street,
All kinds of people we see.
Some, finished shopping, are starting
To make their way home for their tea.

They've bought all they needed for Christmas,
There's nothing else left here to buy.
Everyone's pleased that it's Christmas -
Is that snow falling down from the sky?

Glory to God in the High Street,
A cold wind has started to moan.
No one is left in the High Street
But those who are always alone!

The man with no job and no money,
The old woman shuffling along.
Those who can't afford Christmas
Aren't included in this Christmas song.

Glory to God in the High Street,
Everyone's special to Him.
And He will still love them long after
These Christmas lights have grown dim.

No one is left without presents,
The gift that is given to all.
The very best Christmas gift ever
Is Jesus born in a stall.

God's Christmas Gift

Christmas is a time to give,
and that is what The Lord God did.
God sent His Son as a gift for all,
to save man from Adam's fall.
Christ came just like you and me,
as a little baby for all to see.
For God prepared a body for Him,
to redeem all man from his sin.
He gave His Only Son Jesus Christ,
to all the world as a sacrifice.

Christmas Gifts by many are bought
without giving Christ a thought.
Would we have Christmas friend,
if Christ, by God was never sent?
It is indeed a festive season,
but, many forget its primary reason.
It is to celebrate and worship Him,
who was born to die for our sin.
The greatest gift to all the earth
is through Him we have new birth.

God's gift was sent to Bethlehem,
to become the Savior of all men.
From that small baby in the hay,
He grew up to show men The Way,
That way is for all the nations,
to come to God through His salvation.
He grew up in Nazareth, no place to be,
for The King of all Eternity.
But that was just a temporal home,
now He's in Glory on a Throne.

Christ is not just a baby in a stall;
He is God and The Lord of all.
A stable was the place of birth,
for The Lord and King of the earth.
Once again to earth He'll come,
to reign as King from Jerusalem.
God's gift was given to all men,
but you have to accept Him friend.
So accept, as Lord, Jesus Christ,
and His gift to you is Eternal Life.

You are God's tapestry

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing,
that He Who began a good work in you will continue
until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the
time of His return], developing [that good work]
and perfecting and bringing it to full completion
in you.

Philippians 1: 6

God continues working in us, developing and
perfecting and bringing to full completion, the
work He has begun. God begins working in us the
moment we receive Him into our hearts. He begins
working on our hearts - our inner beings. He works
on our attitudes, our beliefs, our fears, our
pride, all of our human nature. He also plants His
seeds in us of the godly nature - spirit-filled
nature. He tends to this as well, watering and
nurturing the seeds so they will sprout and bring
forth the 'Fruit of the Spirit'.

He helps us grow in the gifts and talents He has
placed within. He helps us develop them to be used
to further the kingdom of God.

God will not stop working in us. If you feel that
God is not doing anything in your life right now -
how very wrong you are. Remember, "He who began a
good work in you will continue until the day of
Christ Jesus".

Don't give up - He doesn't!

God continues to work in you
What He began, He continues to do
